When a national hotel brand approached a Vermont-based CreativeFx dealer Cool Shades Window Tinting for help enhancing their Hilton property in Lake Champlain, the brief was clear: improve the indoor pool area’s atmosphere and privacy without sacrificing natural light or views. The current stock frosted film on the glass was lifting and highlighting the condensation issues forming on the glass during the winter months.
The pool area featured a dramatic wall of glass—8.5 feet high by 32 feet long—facing both the interior and a busy lawn space leading out to the lake.
Working closely with the hotel’s design team, CreativeFx developed a custom-printed film inspired by the way light reflects off water. The design featured a flowing abstract pattern made by mixing varying densities of black and white to evoke movement and ripple—subtle from a distance, striking up close. The final film was applied on the interior side of the glass but delivers visual impact both inside the pool area and from the exterior lawn.
The results? A high-end finish that offers privacy for guests, softens harsh glare, and adds a signature visual element to the hotel’s amenities. The photos say it all—this is custom window film doing exactly what it should: solving design challenges while enhancing architecture.
Whether you’re specifying window film for privacy, branding, or ambiance, this project shows how custom solutions can turn glass into a feature, not just a surface.
